African swine fever (ASF) is a highly contagious disease introduced into my country in recent years, significantly impacting the country's pig farming industry. After infection with ASFV, pigs often exhibit a lack of specific clinical symptoms, making it difficult to distinguish from other infectious diseases and heavily reliant on laboratory diagnosis.

Numerous studies have shown that the VP30 (viral protein 30) protein encoded by the ASFV genome possesses pathogen specificity and is one of the candidate target molecules for laboratory diagnosis. Nanjing Miaodi Biotechnology Co., Ltd. has developed a recombinant VP30 antigen and its paired monoclonal antibody, providing them as raw materials to immunodiagnostic reagent companies. This recombinant antigen uses the gene sequence of domestic ASFV isolates as a template, employing gene recombination technology for soluble expression and purification in the *E. coli* system (Figure 1). Preliminary experimental results indicate that this protein exhibits good specificity and sensitivity in immunodiagnostic reagents such as ELISA and colloidal gold assays.
