Anthrax lethal factor recombinant antigen
Anthrax is a highly contagious zoonotic disease that can cause systemic infection and has a high mortality rate. Bacillus anthracis is the causative agent of anthrax, and its main pathogenic factors include the bacterial capsule and anthrax toxin. The latter is encoded by plasmid pXO1 and includes three components: the protective antigen PA, the lethal factor LF, and the edema factor EF.

Recombinant Anthrax Lethal Factor (rLF) is a purified, non-infectious 90 kDa zinc-dependent metalloprotease used in research to study Bacillus anthracis virulence, pathogenesis, and to develop inhibitors. As one of the three components of the anthrax toxin, LF requires Protective Antigen (PA) to enter cells, where it cleaves MAPKKs, disrupting immune response.
Nanjing Miaodi Biotechnology Co., Ltd. provides LF recombinant antigen. This antigen is expressed using an E. coli expression system, purified using a nickel column, and has a purity greater than 95% (Fig. 1).
