*Francisella tularensis* is the causative agent of tularemia, one of the most infectious pathogens, with over one hundred animal species found to be infected in nature. Due to its diverse transmission routes, rapid spread, and high virulence, it is listed as a Category A bioterrorism agent by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Tularemia is a zoonotic disease with a high mortality rate. Timely and accurate detection of *Francisella tularensis* is crucial for timely treatment of patients and prevention of its spread. Outer membrane protein A (FopA) is one of the first discovered outer membrane proteins of *Francisella tularensis*. It is a highly specific and conserved outer membrane protein common to *Francisella tularensis* and possesses good antigenicity.
